SW Midas Field Pea

Information

Unauthorized Propagation Prohibited – PVPA 1994 – U.S. Protected Variety

To be sold by variety name only as a class of certified seed.

SW Midas is a medium seed size, early maturing yellow pea with improved powdery mildew resistance and excellent standability.  SW Midas has an extremely durable seed coat – one of its greatest strengths. SW Midas's uniform, smooth round seed makes it desirable to the food processing channels. Like DS-Admiral, SW Midas is broadly adapted (East to West, North to South, high to lower yielding environments).

Seed size - Medium (slightly smaller than Admiral)

Physiological Maturity - Medium

Standability - Very Good

Advantages

New variety, consistently high yield, very good disease and standability.

Adapted Area
This should be similar to INTEGRA and ADMIRAL. It will do best in the high yield areas or under no-till in the dryer areas. Treat the seed and seed early for highest yields.
