This field pea has an extremely smooth seed-coat with a very dark green cotyledon (equal to or better than Cruiser). And with improved bleach resistance over our other varieties, Aragorn is becoming one of the most requested varieties by growers as well. Aragorn's market qualities, coupled with slight improvements in standability and yield capabilities, make it a variety to work with in the Northern Plains. The other advantage to Aragorn is that seed will only be available through a “closed loop” processor production contract, guaranteeing market premiums as consistent high quality is assured to the end-user. |
